Europe’s first professional trade association dedicated to the micro-drama sector. It connects creators, production companies, platforms, and industry resources, and promotes the standardisation, professionalisation, and international cooperation of Europe’s micro-drama industry.
Established in 2025 and associated with the European Microdrama Association, MINI CLAP is Europe’s first micro-drama brand dedicated to the development and production of local content. Operating primarily in the European market with global distribution, MINI CLAP prioritizes European scripts and actors and manages the full production pipeline—from project incubation and production to delivery on international platforms.

MINI CLAP connects the Chinese and European micro-drama industries through structured training and hands-on projects. By leveraging proven experience in micro-drama production and distribution in China, MINI CLAP supports European creators and teams in integrating into the global micro-drama ecosystem—accelerating talent growth, enabling cross-border partnerships, and opening new business opportunities in Europe.
The visual content of the work must be predominantly AI-generated: all images, shots, characters, sets, and special effects must be created using AI tools.
In the final video, the proportion of AI-generated images must be ≥ 90%. Recognized uses include, but are not limited to:
a. No infringement or plagiarism. The story, characters, and all constituent elements of the work must be original and must not infringe any third-party rights (including copyrights, trademarks, and other IP rights). All assets used (music, sound effects, fonts, images, videos, AI model outputs, dubbing/voice, etc.) must be royalty-free or properly licensed/authorized. The rights of real individuals (including portrait/image rights and privacy rights) must be strictly respected.
b. Prohibited content. Any pornographic, violent, bloody, horrifying, illegal, discriminatory, hate, politically extremist, or religiously extremist content is strictly prohibited.
c. Legal compliance. The work must comply with all applicable French and European laws and regulations.
d. No fraud or deception. Disinformation, manipulation of public opinion, identity theft/impersonation, and deceptive or misleading content (including deepfake-style impersonation presented as real) are not allowed.
e. Audience suitability. The work must convey positive values and be suitable for a general audience (PG recommended).
f. Tool terms & liability. Participants must comply with the Terms of Use of all AI tools used and assume full legal responsibility for the generated content and all materials submitted.
a. Format: Mandatory vertical 9:16 (mobile-first), minimum resolution 1080 × 1920 px (≥1080p).
b. Structure & Duration: A short film with a total running time of more than 2 minutes and less than 3 minutes.
c. Theme: Free theme. All genres are accepted (urban, sci-fi, thriller, romance, fantasy, workplace, youth, historical adaptation, etc.), provided that the work delivers strong narrative tension, a sustained pace, clear conflicts, and distinct emotional development. At least 1–2 strong hooks are required.
d. Style: The works must be AI mini-series in live-action format. Animated formats (2D/3D) are not accepted at this stage.
e. Language: Any language is accepted, but English subtitles are mandatory.
f. Opening Requirement: Each episode must begin with the official opening title designated by the competition organizers.

e. Submission Method: After registration is completed, the Organizing Committee will confirm your entry via an individual email and will provide each participant with a dedicated upload link (folder/cloud drive link) for submitting the work.
f. List of AI tools used (Word/PDF, table format): Only image-generation tools are mandatory; other steps may be marked as “Manual” or left optional.
a. Participants must post the official poster of their work on social media and tag the official competition account: Instagram / TikTok @mini_clap.
b. Poster format: 1000 × 1000 px.
c. Social media deadline: Monday, 31 August 2026, 24:00 (Paris time) (i.e., by 23:59:59).
All selected or publicly distributed works must include a clear disclosure such as “Generated by AI”, “AI-assisted creation”, or equivalent wording. The disclosure must appear at the beginning or end of the video, or in the publication text.
a. A maximum of three (3) works may be submitted per individual or team.
b. The same work may not be submitted to more than one main category.
a. The author retains authorship and all underlying rights in the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
b. By participating, the author grants the organizer a non-exclusive right to use excerpts from the work for competition-related purposes, including promotion, screening, evaluation, and communication.
c. Award-winning works may enter a priority negotiation process for rights acquisition and/or development collaboration.
d. For any project entering into a contract, separate written agreements will be signed regarding rights, adaptation, distribution, and revenue sharing.
